Hello and Welcome to the online home of Kudura’s Akita Kennel. Kudura located in Lakewood, New Jersey was officially established in January 2005 and is passionate about the breed. Kudura is and will remain a small kennel and free of super ego, here at Kudura it’s about the Akita not the breeder.Kudura breedings take place with the future in our thoughts. Adhering to the Kudura principles, Kudura is striving to build a solid foundation for years to come. What are the Kudura principles you ask? Well the first is stated up above. We often remind ourselves that it is and always will be about the AKITA.
First let me tell how the principles came about, it was 1979 when my Dad brought home Shogun our first Akita. This was after he started with and championed German Shepards and then went on to Doberman Pinschers, which all three are wonderful breeds. Shogun came to us at five years old and quickly blended into the family (Temperament). My little brother thought he had received a pony for his birthday (Structure). ThisAkita made all our family members fall in love with the breed.

Then the surprise of lifetime for me came a few months later in a puppy we called Geronimo. One look into the eyes of this puppy and you would understand why we called him Geronimo. Still to this day I look at his picture while reading the breed standard. Unfortunately, Geronimo would pass away before he was 2 years old from Pravo. I have never ever seen another Akita to be so striking since. So if you have not guessed what they are (the principles that is) by now, I am forced to tell you, it is summed up in those two Akitas. Outstanding Temperaments, Soundness, Structure, Great Health, Unique and Exquisite Looks; that’s what I want.
